The VH1 social content ranged from red carpet photographs to celebrity-generated content, and in it's original state it runs the gamut. The challenge was creating a cohesive look using the range of imagery and content.
VH1 Social Rebrand
Objectives:
Narrow down the wide range of content that was generating the most engagement
Take existing photography and create one consistent look for each category
Create a typographic system for quotes and memes.
Results:
We worked with the social team and pinpointed the content that was generating the most likes, then narrowed it down to a few categories. By creating a style guide, we're able to consistently apply the brand look and voice. We chose a legible typeface in varying font weights, and a range of colors that says “pop culture” but still modern and fashionable. In order to have a cohesive look on the social feed we refreshed and formatted the celebrity content to have the unmistakable VH1 branding.
The result is a bold look that is flexible across all types of content. With elevated photography treatments and composition, we’re creating a more engaging brand experience.
